One-to-one Hypnobirthing

Weekends or evenings

Private and in the comfort of your home

Suitable from 20 weeks

A full antenatal birth preparation course

Includes a postnatal visit with an experienced midwife

Personalised to your needs with flexible dates and times

Cost: £525 in-person, £395 online.

Our one to one course is private, intimate and flexible. Taught in the comfort or your home, in-person or online via Zoom. The dates, times and the number of sessions can be adjusted and the material is tailored to suit your personal situation.

A complete antenatal course, classes are interactive, full of demonstrations and activities.

We explore:

  • how the mind affects the body and what that means for labour and birth

  • the tools of hypnobirthing - for example specific breathing and massage techniques

  • the birth process - finding out what happens to your body in labour

  • effective positions for birth

  • how to create your birth space and why that is important

  • your options in birth - discussing what they are and what to do if things change

  • what your birth partner can do to support you; helping you (and themselves) relax

The course is designed to give you a practical plan: helping you feel calm and prepared to manage labour.

We practice the hypnosis relaxations, massage techniques and positions for birth together so you know what to do. We also spend time working through how to manage challenges that birth can bring up; inductions, longer labours or emergency situations. Talking through scenarios and knowing what your options are help ensure you are well prepared no matter what.

Postnatal support

There are lots of things to think about when bringing baby home, so our course also includes postnatal support.

During the course our own midwife, who has worked for over 10 years in the NHS, will run a postnatal session. The session covers what to expect around recovery, feeding and sleep.

After the course

After your birth, you will receive a personal postnatal visit from our midwife.

A unique offering that gives you time to:

  • share your birth (if you want to) and get a midwife's insight

  • ask questions about your recovery as you have a full physical postnatal check

  • get hands on support with feeding; whether you are breastfeeding, bottle feeding or both

  • ask questions about settling at home with your baby

This service is included in the course and can be booked in after birth, once you are at home.

What the course includes:

  • a printed course workbook

  • MP3s of powerful relaxations and positive affirmations (emailed once you book)

  • digital resources

  • a welcome gift

  • an in-person postnatal appointment with a midwife

  • ongoing support over the phone and WhatsApp

When to attend

This course gives you knowledge of birth and tools to support you. You don't need to take any other course to feel prepared.

You are welcome to attend from 20 weeks and most clients start a course between 26 -33 weeks. The earlier you learn the range of tools and techniques, the more time you have to practice, however, it is never too late in pregnancy to learn and effectively use hypnobirthing techniques for a better birth experience.

It is ideal to attend the course with your partner/birth companion, however mothers who attend all or part of the course on their own can fully benefit from hypnobirthing.

Hypnobirthing Refresher

A private and flexible course tailored to your specific needs, a refresher is a great way to update your knowledge and practice. It is useful if you've completed a full hypnobirthing course with a previous pregnancy even if that was with another group.

Usually held over 2 sessions, a refresher is for you and your birth partner and can be in-person or online, from the comfort of your home.

On the course we'll explore the essentials of hypnobirthing:

  • how to use the power of the mind to support your pregnancy and birth

  • how your body works in labour - looking at muscles, hormones and emotions

  • essential breathing, relaxation and massage techniques

  • how your birth partner can support you - emotionally, mentally and physically

We'll discuss your birth options and preferences and you'll have the opportunity to enjoy deep relaxation and hypnosis. You will gain skills and a practical plan: helping you feel calm and prepared to manage labour.

Also included on the course is:

  • a printed course journal with reminders and space to capture your thoughts and plans

  • a number of powerful relaxation MP3s for your home practice (sent over once you book)

  • ongoing support until you have your baby and after if needed

  • a welcome gift

We know that is harder to prepare for birth when it's not your first baby, so this course gives you dedicated time for your new addition.

It is ideal to attend with your partner/birth companion, however mothers who attend all or part of the course on their own can fully benefit from hypnobirthing.
